Current release status, how to review supported reports, and what the tool does not establish.

Current release.

Silver v0.1.1 is available for Windows 10 and later (64-bit). The executable is distributed directly through GitHub releases with published SHA-256 verification. The installer is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. See the download page for details.

Choose a build folder.

Silver reads Vivado reports and logs that the user selects from a build or project folder. The Python CLI can be run from a source checkout with the command below. Review generated files and parse status in the project output; exact output depends on report types and content.

python scan.py "C:\path\to\vivado\project"

Clean, review, blocked, and unknown are distinct.

The shared action-tier helper controls wording across the report, command line, CI, widget, and build flow.

GREEN

Looks good

Complete parsed inputs produced no action items. This does not replace Vivado sign-off.

GREEN WITH NOTE

No blockers, suggestions

Only quality suggestions remain; review them as appropriate.

AMBER

No blockers, risks to review

Functional-risk items remain and require engineering review.

RED

Not safe to program

One or more blocking issues were found.

UNKNOWN

Analysis incomplete

No usable parsed report data was available. Do not treat this result as clean.

UNKNOWN

Timing unverified

Constraints or setup/hold summary values were unavailable. Do not treat timing as passed.

Build logs can also report that a run did not complete. Check source references where supplied and matched. These findings support engineering review; they do not prove automatic RTL root cause.

You choose what leaves the tool.

Review optional redaction before sharing. Silver does not call an AI provider. Choose a provider in the widget, inspect the bundle, and paste or upload it yourself only if you choose. Redaction does not anonymize a design; project identifiers, hierarchy, signals, constraints, and engineering details may remain.

Optional, disabled until enabled.

Phone control requires explicit enablement in the desktop tool and pairing. It can request analysis of the watched project and access permitted generated report artifacts. Review the network conditions before enabling it. Plain HTTP on a local network can be read by other devices on that network; Tailscale encrypts the network path when correctly configured. Keep pairing credentials private and the laptop firewall enabled.

Analyze reports already produced.

CI does not run Vivado. It can compare a baseline, apply configured regression checks, return a status code, and write a Markdown pull-request comment. Verify the selected baseline and thresholds for each project.

Tested on a narrow set of projects.

The founder has tested the tool on personal projects with Vivado 2024.1 only. This is not broad compatibility validation. Different Vivado versions or report variants may parse differently. Silver is a report-analysis aid, not a substitute for timing constraints review, design-rule review, or Vivado sign-off.
